Short Description: A comprehensive study containing no fewer than 104 types of dumb cancellations and 75 types of linear stamps reproduced in actual size, as well as 2,100 classified dumb cancellations and 60 emergency cancellations). Many of the documents are the result of complex and meticulous research lasting almost two years, carried out by drawing on data from ‘Il Postalista’, the ‘Filatelia e Francobolli’ forum, various auction catalogues and the bulletins and special editions of certain philatelic associations, as well as from eBay, Delcampe, and various other printed and online sources, including specimens in my own collection; these sources are cited both in the description of each individual post office and in the extensive bibliography.
