Short Description: The so-called “Queen’s letters” caused quite a sensation when they first emerged from obscurity and received publicity in 1968. The correspondence involves a collection of classic, Swedish covers from the “Skilling Banco” and “Vapen” periods, as well as a number of stampless pre-philatelic letters, all written by Crown Princess and later Queen Louise of Sweden and Norway, and sent to her governess Victoire Wauthier in The Hague.
